Doug Altner

Instructor and Analyst

Doug Altner, Ph.D. in operations research, is an instructor for ARI Campus and teaches in the Objectivist Academic Center. He also writes for ARI, focusing on topics in capitalism and economics for both scholarly and general audiences. Doug is also involved in our professor and student outreach programs.


David Antonacci

Marketing Programs

David coordinates print production for ARI’s marketing programs and oversees donor incentive programs and events.


David Arceneaux

Web Developer

David develops and maintains all of the Institute’s websites.


Rituparna Basu

Writer and Research Associate

Rituparna is editor of ARI’s donor newsletter, Impact, and conducts research and editorial projects for the Institute’s policy team.


Anthony Baumann 

OAC Assistant

Anthony supports the administration of the Objectivist Academic Center, including student relations, records, marketing, admissions and the academic calendar, as well as the OAC’s grant program. He also provides support for other educational programs of the Education and Research Division.


Autumn Bennett

Administrative Assistant

Autumn provides administrative support to the vice president of Education and Research and to the senior fellow.


Thomas Bowden

Outreach Liaison

Tom engages in outreach to professional organizations, academia and think tanks. He also provides program support for ARI’s research and education projects.


Jeff Britting

Archives Curator

Jeff writes essays and books, stages multimedia productions and curates exhibits. He is also responsible for prospecting new acquisitions and providing in-house and external scholars with research assistance.


Niv Brook

Technical Media Coordinator

Niv is primarily responsible for ARI’s video production efforts, helping us to bring a more effective multimedia presence to the web. Niv also provides support for ARI’s social media efforts.


Morgan Carstensen

Academic Programs Assistant

Morgan administers the Education and Research Division's outreach programs for university students and professors, including the Summer Internship program.


Mark Chapman

Vice President of Development and Outreach

Mark oversees fundraising for ARI and directs marketing programs and outreach activities for the Institute’s education, policy and business segments.


Kathy Cross

Gift and Estate Planning Manager

Kathy manages the Atlantis Legacy, ARI’s planned giving program, assisting donors with bequests and charitable trusts as well as various tax-advantaged gift arrangements. She can also answer basic tax and estate planning questions, and help donors execute outright gifts of securities and other non-cash assets.


Marilee Dahl

Education Manager

Marilee is responsible for education marketing and operations. She is responsible for marketing ARI’s education programs, including student essay contests, classroom sets of books for teachers, campus clubs, the Institute’s new e-learning platform ARI Campus, the Objectivist Academic Center and other education-related activities. She also manages the operations of a number of the Institute’s education programs, including student essay contests, distribution of classroom sets of books to teachers and campus clubs.


Angela Dietrich

Executive Assistant

Angela provides administrative support to the executive director.


Steven Dougherty

Curriculum Development Manager

Steve provides logistical, project management and research support for the new course content developed for ARI’s e-learning initiatives.


Jeri Eagan

Chief Operating Officer

Jeri is responsible for overall operations and management of ARI. She brings a wealth of business and management experience from various executive positions in the oil industry. Her education background includes an MBA and law and accounting degrees.


Adam Edmonsond

Research Assistant

Adam provides research and administrative support, in both course content and technical development, for the Education and Research Division’s e-learning initiatives.


Jason Eriksen

Essay Contests

Jason coordinates activities for the Institute’s essay contests.


Simon Federman

Marketing Communications

Simon is responsible for the design and layout of marketing materials for the Institute’s programs and activities.


Julie Ferguson

Vice President of Business Operations

Julie leads all Business Operations processes including: asset management, facilities, administration, accounting, IT, legal and human resources. Julie also serves as corporate secretary and oversees Archives department activities and management.


Debi Ghate

Vice President of Education and Research

Debi leads ARI’s Education and Research Division, whose focus is to introduce Ayn Rand’s books and ideas to a variety of audiences, including students, educators, policy makers and consumers. The division writes scholarly and policy-aimed books, articles and other materials based on Rand’s philosophy, Objectivism.


Onkar Ghate

Senior Fellow and Vice President of Intellectual Leadership

Onkar Ghate, Ph.D. in philosophy, is the Institute’s senior editor and senior instructor. He is also responsible for providing philosophic direction and oversight for the Institute’s many projects.


Jon Glatfelter

E-Learning Production Assistant

Jon provides support on the technical and creative elements, as well as course production services, for the Education and Research Division’s e-learning initiatives, including the ARI Campus.


David Gulbraa

Customer Service

David provides customer service for a number of the Institute’s activities, including donor contributions, the Ayn Rand Bookstore, Objectivist conferences and other special events.


Lew Hendrickson

HR Coordinator

Lew supports the human resources and legal programs with administration, record-keeping and program development assistance. He also coordinates ARI’s volunteer program. Those interested in volunteering for ARI should visit our volunteer page.


Jon Hersey

Research Assistant

Jon provides research and administrative support, in both course content and technical development, for the Education and Research Division’s e-learning initiatives.


Lucy Hugel

E-Learning Manager

Lucy is responsible for managing the technical and creative efforts for the Education and Research Division’s e-learning initiatives, such as ARI Campus and the Objectivist Academic Center.


Jeff Janicke

Business Operations Coordinator

Jeff provides administrative support for the Business Operations Division and provides occasional project support for other departments.


Elan Journo

Fellow and Director of Policy Research

Elan writes, edits, lectures and gives interviews for ARI and serves as director of the Institute’s policy team. He specializes in foreign policy. His first book, Winning the Unwinnable War, analyzes U.S. policy since 9/11.


Rachel Knapp

Accounting Manager

Rachel provides ARI and related entities with accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting and other financial and regulatory reporting. Rachel also serves as corporate treasurer.


Duane Knight

Director of Development

Duane directs ARI’s development programs, which include a variety of initiatives to secure both near-term and long-range financial support for the Institute and its programs from individuals, corporations and foundations.


Keith Knutter

Chapter Relations

Keith is responsible for ARI’s business outreach and advocacy efforts through its two local chapters, located in New York City and Chicago.  


Kurt Kramer

Media Relations

Kurt promotes media-related digital and print programs and activities, including distribution of op-eds and press releases, and arranges television and radio interviews for the Institute’s speakers and writers.


Keith Lockitch

Instructor and OAC Program Officer, Fellow

Keith Lockitch, Ph.D. in physics, teaches writing and other subjects in the Objectivist Academic Center and is responsible for overseeing the administration and development of the program. He also writes, edits and gives interviews for ARI, and is responsible for developing other educational content for ARI’s programs.


Stewart Margolis

Campus Clubs Coordinator

Stewart coordinates all campus club programs and activities, including campus speaking events.


Amanda Maxham

Junior Fellows Program, 2012-13

Amanda Maxham, Ph.D. in astrophysics, carries out writing and research on public policy issues as part of ARI’s Junior Fellows program, in the Education and Research Division.

Karl Meisenbach

National Development Manager

Karl presents the case for financial support for ARI to our major contributors across the country.

Copy Editor

Donna proofs copy and assists with a wide range of projects.


Matt Morgen

Teacher Outreach

Matt coordinates all high school teacher outreach programs, including the Books to Teachers program. He also helps administer the high school debate program.


Tierra Murguia

Education Marketing Manager

Tierra is responsible for developing and executing marketing plans for the various education programs ARI offers. This includes measuring and analyzing market research to build strategies that further promote ARI’s goals and expand awareness of Ayn Rand’s works.


Bryan Olive

Marketing Manager

Bryan manages marketing services for the Institute, including digital and print communications and customer service activities.


Michael Paxton

Multimedia Producer

Michael handles all the multimedia production needs of ARI in support of and in consultation with ARI’s education and policy departments, ARI Campus e-learning website personnel, and a variety of programs.

Publishing Manager

Richard manages the Institute’s publishing projects.

Academic Programs Manager

Jeff works within the Education and Research Division to oversee ARI’s outreach programs for university students and professors, including the Summer Internship program.

Stacy provides customer service support for the Ayn Rand Institute eStore.

Social Media Coordinator

Utilizing the Institute’s numerous websites and social media platforms, Mikey is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of ARI’s digital communications strategies.

Brandon provides support to the Development and Outreach Division.


Don Watkins

Fellow

Don writes and speaks on economic policy for ARI. He is the co-author, with Yaron Brook, of Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand’s Ideas Can End Big Government and blogs at Laissez-Faire: The Uncompromised Case for Capitalism.


Jenniffer Woodson

Archivist

Jenniffer processes, arranges, describes and preserves Ayn Rand’s personal papers and other related collections. Jenniffer is also responsible for hosting visiting researchers and assisting the Archives curator with outreach efforts.


Lin Zinser

Director of Public Outreach

Lin directs policy and business outreach programs and activities for ARI, specifically those activities at the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights, in Alexandria, Virginia.
