Dr. Doug Altner is an analyst at the Ayn Rand Center, focusing on business regulations and labor policy. His writings have appeared on Forbes.com, Politix.topix.com, The Daily Caller and in Investor’s Business Daily, and he regularly writes on the institute’s blog, Voices for Reason. He is a frequent guest on Butler on Business and has been interviewed on many other radio programs such as The Mike Slater Show, The Schilling Show, and Financial Myth Busting with Dawn Bennett. He was also a regular guest commentator on PJTV.com.

He holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech. Prior to joining the Ayn Rand Center, Doug was an assistant professor of operations research at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. Doug also teaches through many of the Ayn Rand Institute’s educational programs.
