Doug Altner

Dr. Doug Altner is an analyst at the Ayn Rand Center, focusing on labor and industrial policy. His writings have appeared in Investor’s Business Daily and on the institute’s blog, Voices for Reason. He is frequently a guest on radio programs, such as The Mike Slater Show and Butler on Business. He is also a regular guest commentator on Front Page with Allen Barton on PJTV.com.

He holds a Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech. Prior to joining the Ayn Rand Center, Doug was an assistant professor of operations research at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. Doug also teaches through many of the Ayn Rand Institute’s educational programs.
