Ayn RandBorn in Russia in 1905 and educated under the Soviets, Ayn Rand escaped to America in 1926, worked in Hollywood and lived most of her life in New York City, producing best-selling novels and a radical, new philosophy. Her life is documented in the Ayn Rand Archives, which contains her personal papers, photographs and memorabilia. The Archives also maintains an ongoing special collection of materials acquired since her death in 1982.
