A Show of Weakness

The U.S. release of an intercepted shipment of scud missiles sent from North Korea to Yemen last week showed the world--and our enemies--how weak and uncommitted the Bush administration really is in its "war" against terrorist regimes.

If president Bush was serious about stopping terrorism, he would not have let the opportunity pass to sink North Korea's ship and prevent Yemen, a hotbed of Islamic terrorism, from acquiring weapons that could be passed along to Iraq or Al-Qaeda.

The United States intercept and subsequent action against the North Korean ship could have been a show of force. Instead, it was a show of weakness.
