We will be extra careful until we can root out the source of terrorism. Once alerted, we are very good at this. But it is always better to deal with the source of the problem rather than to try to defend every vulnerable spot in the United States. After Pearl Harbor we didn't just try to set up protection against air strikes in Hawaii or California; we went to war with Japan.
