Dear Editor

The actions of the United States, so far, have been deplorable. We have led the "first war of the 21st century" with FBI investigations, prayer meetings and pleas for help to other nations. US Secretary of State Colin Powell in a speech the other day hinted at lifting sanctions on Afghanistan and Pakistan for help in finding terrorists.

The message - "We will not defend ourselves against terrorism" - has changed. It now reads: "Not only will we not defend ourselves, we will reward you!" It looks as if
America's political leaders lack the will to do what is right in order to launch an all out war on the governments that support, develop and implement terrorism: Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan and Syria.

So, I am asking Israel for help. Will you defend us?

Sincerely,

Lee Sandstead
