Radicals for Capitalism

The only "implicit premises" in your review of "Radicals for Capitalism: A Freewheeling History of the Modern American Libertarian Movement" are the utterly false depictions of Ayn Rand and her philosophy. Contrary to the sources quoted (and seconded) by your reviewer, the "supreme arbiter" of what is rational and moral is not Ayn Rand (or any personality). It is man's independent judgment, a fact at the core of Rand's philosophy. The "sheer weirdness" factor is not Rand or her philosophy, it is the reviewer's and the book's distorted view of Ayn Rand.
