Israel Should Not Apologize for Targeting Terrorists
June 26, 2006

Irvine, CA--“Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert was absolutely wrong to apologize for the deaths of Palestinians killed in recent Israeli air strikes against Palestinian terrorists. There is nothing to apologize for,” said Dr. Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute.

“Air strikes against terrorists firing rockets on Israelis are a perfectly moral strategy to provide for the safety of Israel’s population. The casualties among Palestinians are the responsibility of the terrorists who initiated the violence.

“Instead of apologizing for timidly acting in its self-defense, Israel should defend itself more aggressively.”
