No Aid to Palestinians
May 11, 2006

IRVINE, CA—"The resumption of Western aid to Palestinians rewards them for electing the murderous zealots of Hamas as their leaders. America and Europe's perverse desire to shower Palestinians with aid not only encourages jihadists--it confesses the West's moral bankruptcy," said Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute.

"Instead of sacrificing its own interests, America should refuse to sponsor the anti-Western Palestinian hordes and help its ally Israel to smash Hamas militarily. Such action entails acting not from self-doubt and (unearned) guilt, but from proud self-confidence in one's right to exist and defend one's values. That moral self-confidence is precisely what the West lacks."
